UNIVERSAL UNVEILS A PLAGUE OF DARKNESS FOR HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS 2018!
DEAD EXPOSURE: PATIENT ZERO....THEY WILL FIND YOU!
The masterminds at Universal Orlando have revealed the first "original concept maze" of Halloween Horror Nights 2018. This year's event will feature a mixture of IP-based mazes and original concept mazes. IP-based mazes (or 'haunted houses') are based on movies, television shows, books, and other 'intellectual properties' that Universal does not necessarily own or control. Original concept mazes are based on original characters and storylines created by the Halloween Horror Nights creative team.
The first of this year's original concept mazes will be Dead Exposure: Patient Zero. This maze is a sequel to a fan favorite maze from Halloween Horror Nights 18 in 2008. In the original Dead Exposure, maze visitors experienced a zombie apocalypse through the eyes of a tabloid photographer. The journey through the maze occurred in total darkness! Bright camera flashes illuminated the terror filled path through the maze as visitors experienced the mayhem.

The Universal Orlando Creative Team was excited to reveal the first original maze of the year! Patrick Braillard, Show Director for Universal Orlando, says,
"We’re bringing back that same terror. But this time, we’re dropping you in the middle of Paris in 1982. The city of lights has gone dark as chaos spreads, unchecked. Hordes of vicious, flesh-eating undead are swarming the streets. The military is forcing those not affected into quarantine and a vaccination is being given. It’s the only chance to ward off the sickness but there are major side effects… blindness. You’ll be lost in the darkness as the undead hunt you. An attack can come from anywhere. You don’t have to remember the original house, to understand this single truth: They will find you."
