Haunted House Locations
Universal Orlando uses multiple backstage areas, buildings, temporary structures, tents, attraction queues, and actual attraction buildings to "host" haunted houses for the fall Halloween Horror Nights event. This is a complete listing of which houses have been placed in each of the various locations.
Bates Motel
Originally located in Universal Studios. The motel was a recreation of the setting of the film Psycho. The set was used during the filming of Psycho 4: The Beginning. The building was demolished in the mid-1990s. This area is now in the vicinity of the KidZone attractions A Day in the Park with Barney & Curious George Goes to Town.

The Bone Yard
The area in Production Central in front of the Universal Studios soundstages. It was originally a large prop storage area. This area is now the The Universal Music Plaza Stage.

This building was constructed specifically to host a haunted house in 2002. It is located in Marvel Super Hero Island behind Dr. Doom's Fearfall.

This is the queue area for the Disaster (formerly Earthquake) attraction. Disaster was closed after the event in 2015. The area became Fast & The Furious. The Fast & The Furious Supercharged Queue is now used in this location.)

This is the queue area for the Jaws attraction. Universal originally used it because the Jaws attraction was shut down in the early years due to technical issues. 2011 marked the final year for this queue because the Jaws attraction was closed later in the year.

Located in the rear of MIB between MIB and the Fear Factor stage. This is a temporary tent structure that sits on a concrete pad between the MIB ride and the adjacent stage. The structure is also used for other events/corporate events throughout the year.
